Asterix-The title character, a small, plucky quick-thinking Gallic warrior who lives in Gaul (Aincent France) during the time of Julius Caesar and the Gallic Wars, who gets super-strength from a magic potion created by Getafix, a druid.

Obelix-Asterix's sidekick and best friend. Fell into a cauldron containing the super-strength potion as a child and can't drink any. Works in the menhir quarry of the village, but lives for hunting and eating wild boars and going on adventures with Asterix.
